The Great Plains Max-Chisel is an aggressive primary tillage tool that works at a shallower depth and leaves fields smoother and more uniform than most traditional disk rippers. Built on the same rugged platform as the Great Plains Turbo-Chisel®, the Max-Chisel utilizes two opposing rows of exclusive concave turbo-wave blades. With a patented “samurai edge,” the blades aggressively remove root balls while mixing and incorporating residue in the top 10 to 13 cm of soil, chopping it to accelerate the decaying process.
Products and Implements: Vertical Tillage
Maximum Vertical Tillage
With 3-3/4" blade spacing and 0° to 6° adjustable gang angle, Turbo-Max provides aggressive ground leveling while sizing and anchoring residue.
Ultra-Durable Tillage
Ultra-Chisel™ removes density layers in the top 8" (20cm) of soil, while mixing residue at the surface to reduce wind erosion and improve water infiltration.
Destroy Layers
The Great Plains Inline Sub-Soiler is another step in the evolution of our vertical tillage family designed to eliminate yield-robbing compaction layers created by horizontal tillage tools such as plows, disks, and sweep implements.
Hybrid Chisel
If your goal is to size and incorporate residue in the top 4-5" of top soil while leaving the soil level enough for a single-pass tool in the spring, the Great Plains Turbo-Chisel® is the tool of choice!
Compatibility At Its Finest
Reap the benefits of both cover crops and true vertical tillage with the new Turbo-Seeder™ Attachment for Turbo-Max®!
Turbo-Seeder offers a cost effective, highly productive method for seeding cover crops with a vertical tillage finish tool. With Turbo-Seeder, you can simultaneously till your soil, size residue, and plant cover crops in one pass, while also reducing labor, fuel, and maintenance cost of conventional drills.
