The Great Plains Max-Chisel is an aggressive primary tillage tool that is designed to achieve complete fracture at shallower depths, leaving fields smoother and more uniform than most traditional disk rippers. Built on the same rugged platform as the Great Plains Turbo-Chisel®, the Max-Chisel utilizes two opposing rows of exclusive concave turbo-wave blades. With a patented “samurai edge,” the blades aggressively remove root balls while mixing and incorporating residue in the top 4" to 5" (10-13 cm) of soil, chopping it to accelerate decomposition.
THE INDUSTRY STANDARD IN VERTICAL TILLAGE
Exciting updates make the industry-leading Turbo-Max even better! New standard features and controls allow you to adjust and monitor your Turbo-Max from the comfort of your tractor cab.
Ultra-Chisel™ removes density layers in the top 20 cm of soil, while mixing residue at the surface to reduce wind erosion and improve water infiltration.
The Great Plains Inline Sub-Soiler is another step in the evolution of our vertical tillage family designed to eliminate yield-robbing compaction layers created by horizontal tillage tools such as plows, disks, and sweep implements.
The Only Chisel You'll Ever Need
In the fall, vertical tillage eliminates the soil’s density layers, leaving it ready for a one-pass tool before spring planting. Turbo-Chisel is engineered to size and incorporate residue into the top 4-5" (10-13 cm) of soil, while leaving the surface level enough for a single-pass tool in the spring. The Turbo-Chisel is available in 14 sizes, with a choice of shanks and optional rear attachments.
