To maximize yield, three things must be done well: seed spacing, seed depth, and seed-to-soil contact without sidewall compaction. Great Plains Drills are designed and built using these principles. Again, no matter what your farming practices, we have the right grain drill to fit your seeding needs. We are the seed placement specialists!
25' Heavy-Duty Mounted Drills
The 2510HDF and 2510HDP 3-Point Drills are the most versitile of all 3-Points drills on the market today. The 10-Series HD Opener can be used used by itself or add an optional unit-mount coulter for the toughest no-till conditions. The "F" series features fluted-feed while the "P" series meter is the best singulating meter for soybeans available. These quick change meters can accurately meter sorghum, rice, cotton and wheat.
25' 3-Point with 20-Series Openers
The 2520F(P) 25' 3-Point Drill features 20-Series Openers with your choice of Fluted Feed (F models) or Precision Meters (P models).
Great Plains’ 20 Series Opener is an excellent choice when planting in stale seedbed environments. Much like a planter row unit, this opener has 2" side depth wheels to provide extra flotation as well as reduced soil “blowout”. Available with Singulator-Plus™ (20P) Meters, it can either singulate or volumetrically meter seed. This row unit can also be used with fluted feed metering (20F). Row spacings are as narrow as 7-1/2".
25' 3-Point Mounted Drills
The 2525F model is a fluted-feed three-point mounted drill while the 2525P model is a singulated precision metering machine. 2525A models feature our patented Air-Pro® Metering (see planters for more information). All models are 25' wide and feature ground drive, large seed-boxes, and wide walkboards.
Rugged & Field Tough
One look at the Great Plains 3S-4010HD tells you this is a drill that can get the job done! The heavy-duty frame has enough weight to handle hard ground and the toughest double crop conditions, while the six (6) massive 18 x 22.5 tires keep it afloat when things are soggy in the spring.
