Why choose Vertical Tillage? Because Vertical Tillage leaves a uniform, unrestricted soil profile that promotes maximum root development and increased yields. Plants raised in a vertical tillage system exhibit higher drought resistance, reach and utilize more nutrients, and have greater standability due to healthier stalks and root systems. Increase your yields ... by choosing a Vertical Tillage System from Great Plains!
Maximum Vertical Tillage
With 3-3/4" blade spacing and 0° to 6° adjustable gang angle, Turbo-Max provides aggressive ground leveling while sizing and anchoring residue.
Ultra-Chisel™ removes density layers in the top 8" (20cm) of soil, while mixing residue at the surface to reduce wind erosion and improve water infiltration.
Maximum Vertical Tillage
If you are looking for an aggressive primary tillage tool that doesn’t leave your fields as rough or require tilling as deep as a traditional disc ripper, check out the latest addition to Great Plains’ award-winning tillage line: the Max-Chisel™.
Compatibility At Its Finest
Reap the benefits of both cover crops and true vertical tillage with the new Turbo-Seeder™ Attachment for Turbo-Max®!
Turbo-Seeder offers a cost effective, highly productive method for seeding cover crops with a vertical tillage finish tool. With Turbo-Seeder, you can simultaneously till your soil, size residue, and plant cover crops in one pass, while also reducing labor, fuel, and maintenance cost of conventional drills.
Available with hydraulic auto-reset tine or shearbolt options and a choice of six rear rollers, the Great Plains Simba DTX® is extremely versatile. Designed as a mounted one pass stubble incorporator/soil loosener for tractors in the 200-360hp range, it can be used as a first entry machine into non- inversion tillage or to knock down ploughing, whilst loosening down to 400mm. It is also ideally suited to establishing oilseed rape straight into stubble, as it leaves a very level, fine and consolidated seedbed.
The benefits of selective soil loosening should never be underestimated, particularly following a wet autumn. Healthy root growth is essential if crop yields are to remain high. Any subsurface pans must be identified and then removed.
Incorporating the latest technology, the Flatliner offers the perfect solution.
A choice of two ranges provides maximum shatter of deeply embedded compaction layers with minimum surface disturbance across the working width. The Pro-Lift leg and point provide a very effective soil conditioning action with prolonged wear rates.
Built around proven, innovative components mounted on a central chassis, Great Plains Simba SL cultivators are capable of carrying out a number of operations in a single pass.
The Great Plains Simba SLD is a deeper working version of the SL cultivator. It incorporates some of the principles of the well-proven and ever-popular Solo, and bridges the gap between the two machines.
The Simba ST Bar with between 4 and 7 ST tines can be fitted ahead of Mounted X-Press models with working widths of between 2.5 and 4 metres. This transforms the machine into a one pass cultivator for tractors between 145hp and 220hp. ST tine options include Shearbolt protection and Bolt-On units. In addition, LD (Low Disturbance) tines are also available.
The Great Plains Simba TL is a linkage-mounted cultivator designed primarily for use on lighter soils, and in rotations including root crops and vegetables. It features three rows of spring-reset cultivating tines that can work deep enough to incorporate large volumes of trash, such as potato haulm or the remains of field vegetables, or perform a thorough soil loosening action ahead of further cultivation.
